Join us as fellow Charlotte SQL Server Users Group member and Microsoft Support Escalation Engineer Chris Skorlinski presents "Techniques for Troubleshooting SQL Server Transactional Replication."


Abstract: This presentation will provide an overview of the techniques used by Microsoft SQL Server Replication Support team for troubleshoot Transactional Replication performance.  Topics covered include: Overview of Agent Reader/Writer threads, Monitoring Replication Performance, Common causes of Latency, tools for identifying Replication latency, and best practices for improving Transactional Replication Performance.

 

Speaker's Bio:

Chris Skorlinski has been with Microsoft for 15 years.  He is a Support Escalation Engineer at the Microsoft Charlotte NC office specializing in performance tuning and troubleshooting Replication.  He is a contributor to SQLShare.com training as well as his his own BLOGs on Relpication Performance.
